Chad serves as BrightView’s Chief Executive Officer and is one of the founders. He an attorney and certified HIPAA security professional who has focused his career on healthcare operations, technology and compliance. Prior to joining BrightView, he co-founded a series of healthcare technology companies where he managed technical and professional service teams, oversaw business development and sales, and acted as the privacy officer. He serves on the Board of Advisors for the Northern Kentucky University, College of Health Informatics, where he teaches courses focused on the intersection of law and healthcare technology. Chad earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Akron, Master of Science in Health Informatics from Northern Kentucky University, and his Juris Doctor from Northern Kentucky University’s Chase College of Law.

Brad Barker - Chief Financial Officer
Brad serves as BrightView’s Chief Financial Officer. He ensures that BrightView is financially healthy so we can continue to provide comprehensive care to those in need. Prior to joining BrightView, he spent over 10 years assisting in the growth and success of small and middle market companies. He loves seeing BrightView’s compassionate, evidence-based approach to reach more and more lives and help people find and sustain recovery. Brad earned his MBA from the University of Notre Dame and bachelor’s degrees in Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Michigan. In his downtime, Brad enjoys spending time with his family and trying out healthy recipes.

Mark Schodrof - Chief Operating Office
Mark joined BrightView as Chief Operating Officer after playing an integral operations role as he helped ATI Physical Therapy grow to nearly 900 clinics nationwide. He began his career as a clinician, serving patients in both hospital and independent outpatient settings. He believes strongly that utilizing research to develop an individualized treatment program, along with providing excellent customer service, is a winning formula in healthcare and is happy to have found a home at Brightview where the mission aligns with this approach. Marks leverages his expertise to promote process improvement, org chart structuring, and leadership development. This helps ensure consistency at each center so that every patient has the same great experience and quality outcome regardless of which BrightView center they visit. Mark earned his Master’s of Physical Therapy from Midwestern University.
Dylan Jackson - Chief Development Officer
Dylan Jackson - Chief Development Officer
Dylan serves as BrightView’s Chief Development Officer. He leads BrightView’s growth to meet the need of the addiction epidemic. Dylan manages new facility growth, M&A integration, outreach, and marketing to ensure BrightView can reach and help as many people as possible. He previously worked in investment management at Orchard Holdings Group and The Sterling Group. Before that, he worked at Procter and Gamble as a capital projects manager and a new product delivery leader. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Cincinnati.

Amy earned her Bachelor of Science from the Ohio State University in Strategic Communications and with a minor in Political Science, and her Professional in Human Resources certification. Prior to joining the BrightView team, Amy worked in the HR field for over 12 years, and developed a passion for Organizational Development and HR Project Management, partnering with businesses to identify and reinforce transformational efforts for growing organizations to meet their objectives. In her free time, Amy enjoys volunteering and staying active.
Navdeep Kang, Psy.D, HSP, CGP - Chief Clinical Officer
Navdeep Kang, Psy.D, HSP, CGP - Chief Clinical Officer
Dr. Kang is a psychologist and the Chief Clinical Officer for BrightView Health. He leads BrightView’s contributions to the evolving national definition of quality service delivery and demonstrable outcomes in addiction medicine. He has devoted his professional efforts to advancing healthcare access and quality, particularly as related to behavioral health. Dr. Kang was selected by President and Mrs. Obama for the Obama Foundation’s inaugural Fellowship class for his leadership in treating addiction collaboratively with partners across the healthcare system. In addition to serving on the National Quality Forum’s Technical Expert Panel on Opioid Use and Opioid Use Disorder and being appointed to the RecoveryOhio Advisory Council, Dr. Kang is a prolific media presence. His editorial pieces on addiction treatment services, policy, and science have been featured by the Huffington Post UK, London School of Economics, The Hill, and local news outlets across the Midwest. He also makes regular live television appearances to share his behavioral health and wellness expertise and has been featured on PBS Newshour. Dr. Kang lives in Kentucky with his wife and four young children.

Parag Patel, MD, FACOG FASAM, is board certified in both addiction medicine and obstetrics and gynecology. Since 2015, Dr. Patel has been creating customized treatment programs for patients facing substance use disorder while pregnant and other vulnerable patient populations. Dr. Patel assisted in developing and currently leads the Pregnancy and New Mothers Programs at BrightView. Recently, he has helped lead innovations in telemedicine and remote care in response to COVID-19 to ensure access to effective addiction treatment for patients throughout Ohio.

Dr. Shawn Ryan practiced as an Emergency Room physician and a hospital administrator (Department Chairman of Quality and Patient Safety). During this time, he became acutely aware of the addiction epidemic and began working tirelessly to make a difference in his community. Dr. Ryan serves on many regional, state, and national committees/workgroups focused on turning the tide of this epidemic. He is the immediate-past president of the Ohio Society of Addiction Medicine and the current Chair Legislative Advocacy for ASAM. He is both a board-certified addiction specialist and emergency physician.

Erik serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Operations for the Kentucky market. He oversees day to day operations so we can provide comprehensive care to patients across all communities in Kentucky. Prior to joining BrightView, he spent 2 years running multi-site outpatient dialysis operations. Before that, he served 8 years as an Operations Officer in the U.S Army. Erik earned his MBA from The Ohio State University and bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton. In his free time, Erik enjoys spending time with his family and exercising.

Jacole Spriggs - Vice President of Nursing Services
Jacole serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Nursing Services. She manages quality of care, retention, training, and development to ensure excellence in all aspects of nursing care. Jacole previously led a team within an inpatient psychiatric hospital, caring for patients in need of acute inpatient detox and psychiatric care. Prior to that, Jacole has worked on primary care integrations to establish patient care medical homes and has seven years of experience caring for patients who struggle with substance use disorder. Jacole earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University.

Mr. Woods joined BrightView as the Vice President of Operations for Virginia in June of 2021. He brings over ten years of experience in operating addiction health facilities across the United States. He uses his clinical background to ensure patients have excellent customer experiences that are consistent across all sites yet individualized to meet their specific needs. Mr. Woods has a Master of Arts degree in Community and College Counseling from Longwood University and a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Human Services from Northern Vermont University.

Melissa serves BrightView as VP of New Market Development. She works with the development team to provide diligence in new markets, making initial introductions and gathering key insight as to how BrightView can best serve the needs of communities. Melissa assists in BrightView’s growth by hiring, training, and acclimating Outreach Managers for successful launches of new centers. Initially joining Brightview as VP of Outreach, her experience opening new sites led to heading up the Outreach Training and Development Department where she shares her passion for serving people and saving lives with new hires. Prior to BrightView, Melissa owned and operated JSI International, a nationally ranked recruiting firm. She is a Michigan State Spartan and enjoys equine activities in Colorado every chance she gets.

Michele serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Patient Services, which means she ensures that patients have quick access to high quality care at BrightView. Michele’s team make certain that whenever the phone rings, a helpful and compassionate person answers. Michele is very passionate about breaking down barriers and creating best practices that support BrightView’s patients in their recovery journey. Michele earned her MHA from Ohio University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati. In her free time, Michele enjoys spending time with her husband and three children and is an avid camper.

Mike serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Development. He leads BrightView’s new facility growth to knock down barriers to treatment and provide easier access to care for patients in need. He previously worked as an Associate on Shore Capital’s investment team where he focused on conducting due diligence on new investment opportunities and implementing value creation initiatives within portfolio investments. Before that, he worked as an Analyst at Jefferies in their healthcare investment banking group. He has B.S. in Finance and Technology Management from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.

Mikeala Taylor - Vice President of Clinical Operations for Ohio
Mikaela Taylor is a licensed clinical mental health counselor and is the Vice President of Clinical Operations for Ohio. Mikaela has grown with BrightView and started during the company’s origin 5 years ago. Mikaela leads a team of regional clinical directors to invest in the individual growth of each of our Ohio clinicians and champion quality care for our patients. Mikaela utilizes her expertise in Outpatient Addiction Treatment to engage our clinical team in prioritizing a growth mindset surrounding their professional development, teaching best practices, and overseeing the delivery of high-quality clinical supervision. Mikaela experiences regular interactions with patients and loves being able to be both on the frontlines as well as behind the scenes in orchestrating and implementing BrightView’s holistic approach to treatment. Mikaela lives in Cincinnati and in her free time loves to travel the globe with her husband, Josh and Australian Shepherd, Sherlock.

Rick Lauer is Brightview’s Chief Legal and Compliance Officer. Rick and the Compliance Team work to ensure that BrightView operates in full compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations. Rick has been a practicing attorney for more than 27 years after graduating from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. He focuses his practice on healthcare regulatory matters, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate. Rick has served as in-house General Counsel for several healthcare companies including a prescription drug wholesaler, a third-party logistics provider to the pharmaceutical industry, and a medical device manufacturer. Rick and his wife Melissa have three daughters, and in his spare time he enjoys listening to live music and driving old German sports cars.

Shelly serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Outreach. She leads BrightView’s efforts to collaborate and partner with the communities we serve. Prior to joining BrightView, she spent more than 15 years in healthcare outreach and marketing driving growth for service lines, physician groups, and specialty healthcare services. Shelly enjoys working for mission driven companies that shape the future of healthcare while providing much needed services for those in need. She received her bachelor’s in public Relations and Communications from Northwest Missouri State University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and tackling home improvement projects.

Andrea Kovall - Vice President, Managed Care & Credentialing
Andrea serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Managed Care. In this role she leads the strategic payer initiatives that support BrightView’s growth objectives and ensure BrightView can provide comprehensive addiction treatment to those in need. Andrea has worked in managed care for over twenty years and brings experience from working at a large academic health system to BrightView. Most recently, she led contracting and payer relations for CommonSpirit Health at Home, a national home health and hospice provider. Andrea holds a Master’s in Health Care Administration from Oregon State University. She lives with her husband and son in Cincinnati, where she enjoys trying out new restaurants and going to soccer matches.

Ken Billig - Vice President of Information Systems and Technology
Ken serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Information Systems and Technology. He is responsible for BrightView’s IT infrastructure, including networks, phones, computers, and other devices. He’s also responsible for BrightView’s Electronic Health Record, Laboratory Information System, email, and other systems used by BrightView staff. Ensuring that our staff have all the tools needed to effectively and efficiently serve our patients is his top priority. Ken has worked either as a consultant or employee with BrightView since 2015. Ken earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Ohio State University where he was a three year member of the varsity fencing team. In addition to his work managing/directing IT services for a number of mental health and SUD treatment organizations, Ken worked as a substance use disorder counselor in the early 1990s. Ken enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons and his oldest son’s fiancé whenever possible.

Colin serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Marketing and Communications. He leads BrightView’s initiatives in direct-to-patient marketing, guiding and optimizing digital and traditional communication channels. Prior to joining BrightView, Colin led marketing for Beacon Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and served in a variety of marketing roles for other organizations. He is an MBA candidate at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati.

Will serves as BrightView’s Chief of Staff and Vice President of Operations. He leads site operations in the state of Ohio in addition to network-wide telehealth operations, ensuring that quality care and excellent patient experience are standardized across all facilities. Additionally, Will provides strategic support to the executive team on ad-hoc special projects. Prior to joining BrightView, he worked in multi-site operations at DaVita Medical Group. Before that, he worked at DaVita, Inc. as a corporate strategy analyst. He has an MBA from The Wharton School and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Brigham Young University.

Rhonda serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Clinical Services in Kentucky. Prior to joining BrightView, Rhonda has over 18 years’ experience in behavioral healthcare. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in treatment, clinical supervision, training, and leadership in outpatient, inpatient and medication-assisted treatment. Rhonda earned her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky and bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Georgetown College. In her downtime, Rhonda enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her dog and shopping.

Adam serves as BrightView’s Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management, leading Brightview’s efforts to be reimbursed for the great care delivered to patients. Adam came to Brightview with over 20 years of revenue cycle experience. Prior roles include multiple Healthcare organizations in Cincinnati and consulting nationally, working with hospitals, physician groups, home health agencies, and revenue cycle vendors. Adam graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Business Administration. In his downtime, Adam enjoys sports and other outdoor activities, and spending time with his family.

Tricia serves as the VP of OTP Compliance. Her main responsibility is ensuring that BrightView and our Opioid Treatment Programs remain compliant with the regulations set forth by the governing state and federal agencies. Through compliance, she assures that BrightView and its employees can confidently treat our patients in a safe environment. Tricia graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati. Tricia has a decade’s long history practicing as a pharmacist in healthcare as well as psychology and addiction. She appreciates BrightView’s comprehensive and caring approach in the treatment of substance abuse.
